Unlike other massage chairs I've heard about, this one can be put together by just one person, though the base is pretty heavy. I'd recommend having two people to move the base to your desired spot. After that, just follow the instructions, which are easy to understand. The only hiccup I faced was separating the two side boards; they fit together really snug, and I was worried about pulling them apart too hard and damaging them. I fiddled with that part for a while. It might have been better if they weren't fully joined from the start. The zippers on the seat covers can be a bit tricky but are manageable. I watched a few YouTube videos on assembly, and those were super helpful too. WE LOVE THIS CHAIR! It does everything it promises.
